How to choose LCD TV

  • Detail

There are several kinds of TVs now. The main popular ones are: LCD TV (hereinafter referred to as LCD), plasma (PDP), light display TV (DLP), liquid crystal rear projection (lcd-prj), picture tube TV (CRT) and ordinary rear projection (Prj). In fact, many people no longer consider CRT and Prj. The following is mainly about LCD TV

LCD TV: to put it simply, LCD TV is a kind of TV that controls light to pass through and form images through the movement of liquid crystal molecules. In other words, it uses backlight, which belongs to passive imaging. Due to the strong praise of various manufacturers, LCD is now one of the most popular flat-panel LCD TVs. Indeed, LCD TV has the advantages of ultra-high brightness and ultra-high resolution, but not all LCDs are good things. At present, the core technology of LCD is still in the hands of foreigners, mainly in the hands of Japanese and Korean enterprises such as sharp, LG, Samsung, etc. sharp is one of the first manufacturers to use LCD. LG is currently the world's largest LCD panel manufacturer, located in Nanjing. Of course, there are also several factories in Taiwan Province, whose panels mainly supply miscellaneous LCD TVs. At present, most domestic LCD panels are from LG and Samsung, and some ultra-low prices may come from Taiwan. Some people may say that everyone's panels are the same, why the price and effect are so poor. This is why our national enterprises don't earn money, because you have to buy other people's things to do, and they won't give you the best ----- LCD panels are divided into different grades. Grade A is the best, and most of them are used by manufacturers. The cost is high, and grade B is low. Most of them are used by domestic machines (90% of them are used). In order to save costs, now many brands don't want to buy the best, but they boast in advertisements, In fact, they are all playing with superficial Kung Fu. You'd better see clearly (many too low use Taiwan's screens) and don't be cheated. And even the LCD of the manufacturer is not necessarily good. Because the prices are different, the materials used for manufacturing are different. Even the same model is different in different price periods, so it's best to buy it soon after it's launched (about a month - the first two days after the first price drop). If you wait and wait, it may be a different thing. (Note: neither panosonic nor Sony produces LCD panels)

of course, I'm not saying that domestic LCD TVs are bad. Of course, some LCD TVs such as TCL and Konka are also good, provided that the price is relatively high. Skyworth LCD TV may be exaggerated because it is always boasting. I personally don't like it, and its LCD TV always has some useless functions and raises a lot of prices, so I'm not very optimistic about it. Of course, if you have a hobby in this area, you can't buy it. In short, before buying LCD TVs, unless you have to buy domestic LCD TVs, you should first look at imported/joint-venture LCD TVs, because now the prices of domestic LCD TVs and imported/joint-venture LCD TVs are the same, and the most important thing is that their quality is relatively good. Of course, it depends on whether the imported products are parallel goods, otherwise the warranty will be in trouble, The joint venture is now a national joint insurance in China. Recommended: sharp, LG, Hitachi

processor (CPU): at present, only Hisense has CPU with independent intellectual property rights in China. None of the others (the sadness of national industry) are from Japan and South Korea. Toshiba is the most famous. It can be said that every TV has Toshiba processors

size: LCD TV is mainly 26-32 inches, which can be placed in the room or hall. If the hall is large, you have to choose plasma. The technology of LCD TVs above 37-55 is not very mature, and the panel is assembled, so this part is still dominated by plasma. Of course, if you don't like plasma, I have nothing to say (I'll write about plasma next time)

technical parameters: pixels must be more than 3.15 million, 1366*768 (most models)/1920*1080 (sharp 45). If they are less than 1366*768, all are discontinued, And you must look at physics when looking at pixels. Don't listen to what sales says and support. For example, HDTV (1920*1080) thinks that it's its resolution. In principle, the higher the brightness and contrast, the better. But it also depends on the effect. We should also see whether the value they said is really that high. The current LCD standard brightness is about 350-600cd/m2, and the contrast is 450:1--1000:1. Be careful if it is higher. Be careful about the response speed. Some are the fastest and some are one-way. The average speed of the whole process should be considered as the standard. Now the fastest average speed of all LCDs is about 12ms. If you see 8ms/4ms, it may be the fastest speed, that is, the peak speed. You should carefully distinguish. From the perspective, iPS technology can reach 178 degrees, VA can reach 170 degrees, represented by LG and Samsung. Personally, I think IPS is better. IPS (LG, Sanyo, Philips, Hitachi, Toshiba, etc.) VA (Samsung, sharp, panosonic, Sony, etc.), most domestic machines have both. When choosing, you must look up, down, left and right to see whether there are obvious changes in color and brightness, otherwise you may also buy a PC screen

interface: you can only choose a digital interface, otherwise you will have to turn around when our country opens high-definition signals. Note that only dvi-i/d and HDMI are digital interfaces on the market. Usually, HDMI will have built-in HDCP protocol (digital TV content protection protocol), but DVI is not necessarily. Therefore, if there is only DVI interface, you must also ask whether there is built-in HDCP protocol. If there is neither, don't consider it. Otherwise, you will have to cry when watching HD TV

functions: so domestic ones are good ones. There are a lot of messy functions, but there are few practical ones. I said if you have less functions and more effects, I also strongly supported them here today. If you have more functions, how much will it cost us? If you have so many more functions, you can't use them. It's OK to watch TV. At most, one more tuner and a picture in picture are enough. Of course, it's also good to have a digital card interface. For others, I don't think so
